Jason Griffis - CTO
With over 20 years of experience in both systems and software engineering focusing on architecture of system solutions, Jason brings to the team a positive attitude, mission-focused mindset, technically savvy and highly collaborative.
High-level technical contributor with Industry experience in avionics, satellite communications, and wireless networks. Known for both soft skills and hard skills, bridging gap between product definition and product creation.
Jason holds a Master of Science (MS) in Management, and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Electrical Engineering.

Stephen Bumgarner - C.E.O/Founder
After graduating from Advanced Naval Engineering school Stephen was stationed at Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek as a crew engineer his role entailed designing, maintaining, and operating the U.S. Navy’s $22 million Landing Craft Air Cushioned (LCAC). Post service he attended Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University where he graduated in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautics holding three minors and part 141 pilot training. He then continued to expand his knowledge with industrial hydraulic and pneumatic systems which lead to his recruitment as the lead systems engineer role for NASA’s Space Launch System for Artemis 1 at Kennedy Space Center. He then pursued a Systems Engineer position with Thales Avionics designing in-flight connectivity (SatCom) systems. He then was yet again summoned to NASA as the Sr. Principal Systems Engineer with SAIC as a NASA sub-contractor for the Lunar Human Landing System (HLS) with respect to cryogenics and propulsion. Throughout his career a number of his responsibilities have included data collection, analyses, configuration management, integrated verification and validation (IVV) testing, serving as a subject matter expert (SME) in high-level congressional meetings. I display a multitude of personable traits including leadership, team building, working well with a variety of personalities, and coordinating with government contractors. With all of his combined experience along the way he managed to identify some of the best and brightest engineers. They have now joined forces to create BEST LLC.

Mike Parilla - COO
After graduating from La Salle University with a degree in Business Management & Marketing, Mike joined a PVF distributor where his focus was selling flow control products and instrumentation including stainless steel valves, fittings, piping, and measurement devices to a plethora of industries. His top customers included Boeing, the FAA, Lockheed Martin, and General Dynamics where he won an award for providing extraordinary support and customer service to their San Diego operation. After that, he joined Eaton’s largest distributor of hydraulic components in the Southeast where he managed a $20 million dollar book of business in the Space Coast region. Looking for a new challenge, he worked as a Business Development Manager for a hygienic valve manufacturer catering to Life Science and Biotechnology where he supplied a variety of sanitary valves and equipment which aided in the manufacturing of life saving therapies. Mike is excited to get back into the Aerospace/Defense sector and ecstatic to be a part of BEST LLC where he is eager to launch the company to new heights.
